Canon EOS R5 4K/30 Crop (5.1K Oversample) vs No-Crop Side By Side Comparison

This is a side-by-side comparison of two of the 4K/30 modes on the Canon EOS R5 – one using Movie Crop mode to produce 4K oversampled from 5.1K, the other using the full-sensor 4K mode. No color-grading, sharpening, or other image modification was used, beyond the informational graphics. Field of view matching was achieved by setting up two R5s (each with an RF 800 f/11 lens) at different distances from the subject. Both R5s were in Movie Servo AF mode with Animal Eye AF active – any focus discrepancies between shots will be down to the AF choices each individual R5 made from moment-to-moment. Settings: 1/60s, f/11, ISO Auto
