Canon EOS R5 Bird Eye Autofocus Testing w/ EF 100-400L II – Carolina Wren through branches!
A more taxing test of the Canon EOS R5's Bird Eye Autofocus, shooting through branches and wires.
All photos were taken using the EF 100-400L II lens plus the 1.4x III Extender, mounted with an EF-RF Adapter. The Camera was set to 12FPS H+, Mechanical + First Curtain Electronic (not the 20fps full electronic) shutter mode.
Screen capture was recorded using an Atomos Ninja V.
All of the stills taken over the course of this test are available on my website: https://avmfieldguide.com/canon-r5-animal-eye-autofocus-tracking-carolina-wren-through-branches/
The music track is "Winter In Fargo", by Alice In Winter. The music was licensed via SoundStripe.
